MCEMS is happy to share that we received 2 new auto pulses. These machines provide high-quality automated CPR to victims of sudden cardiac arrest. With the use of these machines, it helps the crew members be able to provide the care they need while the patient continues to receive adequate compressions, which increases the patients survival rate.
As most know we lost one of our own in May of this year.. Paramedic 3390, Brett McPherson. Brett served the county for many years. His dedication and hard work at MCEMS was never unnoticed. One of his goals was to get new auto pulses for our service. The auto pulses we had were outdated, which is why getting new ones was so important to him. He knew the updated equipment would help provide better patient care.
We want to thank the McPherson family, everyone who donated, and the McLean County Fiscal Court for their help in making this purchase possible.
